It sounds like no body here is interested in
Art ?!!!
Well, personaly I see that art is a creative
touch that can be added to any touchable or
sensible thing to attract the soul through
eyes, ear or touch.
Art means to me focusing on the beautiful
side of life, and add your creative artistic
touch to the bad side of it by spreading love
and peace and removing hatred.
Art is to make of life a vast beautiful
space.
As everyone has his own creative touch, I ask
what can you add to this life to make it more
peaceful, at least around you?
Thank you; |

Both Tiger and Noodlz explained art pretty
well keepopen...
Art is purely personal and it is any medium
whatsoever that will evoke an emotional
response
That sounded clinical
For instance it doesn't have to be 'nice' at
all, and whether I agree or not is a mute
point, but I once new someone that was keen
to put on as part of a course they were doing
a fasion show that featured 'road killed
animals' as part of the clothing design.
Now I find that pretty sick, but she found it
both comical and arty.
Art can be so many things - just ask any
muse! |

Noodlz, I had so much respect for the
artistic skills of my ex and her mother (who
had passed away). My ex was fantastic with
anything to do with fabric, and especially
things to do with the 'darker elements of the
psyche'.
Her mother was the opposite, but blew me away
entirely. There was not one classic style of
art that she didn't excel in. I'm not talking
excel in the way people look at things in
this day and age, I'm talking excel in the
'old ways'.
Totally incredible and total respect from me
for the both of them. |

I think art is a really vague term.
Almost anything could be art if you wished to
interpret it that way.
But I think that behind most art is the
desire to creatively express oneself to the
world, or even simply release energy. So it
could be through any means, such as painting,
kung fu, music, literature, sport,
architecture etc. That's all I can come up
with right now. |

An artist I asked "what is art?" , after
humming and harring for 5 minutes
said..."Art is what an artist say it is ".
personally I think he was wrong. Art is what
any person says it is . So art can be
anything depending on whimsy feelings taste
or whatever.

Hi Jolly
An interesing thing about art is that the
medius change with time. Which in a way I
think is sad and in another I see it as
progression.
Now you can create art from frequencies and
different mediums with technology.
I still think that some of the classic old
styles were so great, but these days the
average attention span is so much less that
people don't seem to be able to reproduce
it.
Of course music is art, as it evokes an
emotional change and appreciation and it
doesn't hav eto be something nice and melodic
either. Different people experience art in
different ways |

I suppose that abstract art would be original
in that it came directly from your ideas
Something could still be 'abstract' and be a
copied idea - yet it would stil be art |
