Because it started out with a somewhat light
hearted comment and then went downhill very
fast.
Another good myth is that if you know you're
going to snuff it, you'll die of shock just
before it happens. Tell that to the countless
people who have survived plane crashes etc.
Or how about 'drinking yourself sober'? Utter
tosh, but everyone has heard it.
Or getting cold will give you a cold? Viruses
give us colds, not low temperatures.
