Smoking is bad for you, and i'm glad there
has been a massive 250,000 reductions in
smoking since the pub ban!
I would like to see a total ban of sales of
tobaco kicking it out completely. saving the
NHS from all the Cancer treatments etc
which costs more than the revenue it takes
from the tax on fags!

if smoking was that bad why aint they
banned it already would it have something
to do with it only cost nhs 2 billion a year
to treat and the goverment gets 12 billion in
taxes on it
and how exactly does smoking kill Please
dont say it gives you cancer because you
are born with cancer everyone is its a
known fact eveyone has binine cancer
or are you one of these people who beleives
everything the goverment says
Smoking has its good points
1. slows metabalisum down
2. stops you putting on exese weight
3. if it kills  it will kill the common
cold

you think they should ban something that
makes them soooo much money?
and look at it this way,smoking kills
yes,which means depopulation
i read article once,that ciggys were created
to kill the population off quicker
i think the smoking ban is a good thing,other
people who dnt want to inhale smoke dont have
to,but banning moking altogether would never
work |

Yes please Les these anti smoking threads are
so stressing it would be great .......oh well
at least I know Im gonna die from smoking I
get told at least 20 times a day from various

wasn't it roy castle died of passive smoking
in jaz clubs he played in but he never smoked
himself.......
i get all the usual crapp from smokers at our
bar so I'm used to all the boring pat answers
to tax.
anyway it also gives you stinky breath stinky
clothes n yellow teath n the birds kiss tasts
like an ashtray

My mother died of cancer, too, and it was not
to do with smoking - but what Kentwhatever
has written above is absurd.
If you seriously think that smoking does not
cause cancers (and several other serious
illnesses) then you must be away with the
fairies... |

i think the ban is gd , not being able to
smoke in bars etc ,means younger ones wont be
tempted to start so easily. Im a smoker and i
love my smoke especially after my dinner and
i know its a killer but im an adult and i
dont need to hear it or read in constant. brb

u should read what i said smoking does not
cause cancer, however i should maybes of
added it may incease the risk of triggering
off cancer cells to become milignant, so im
not away with the fairys, i just sick of anti
smokers and the goverment saying its bad for
you aint this a free world next thing
they know they will say you will die if you
breat the wrong type of air, i got better
things to worry about in my life than
listining to people winging all the time
about smoke on clothes and oh no there
health is gonna be affected they breath in
more polution every day from the atmosphere,
which does more harm to them than what a
ciggarette could ever do, but then again have
people ever thought polution could trigger
off cancer aswell |

Let's find words we can agree on, Kent.
How about "Smoking causes thousands of
premature deaths a year?"
(And for the record I'm not anti-smoking; at
the moment I'm trying to cut down to 20 or so
a day. I'm one of those saddoes you see
standing outside the pub. I am in favour of
considerate smoking and I don't have the
right to make other peoples clothes and hair
smell.) |

if smoking causes premature deaths how come
both my kids were 2 weeks late and im
considerate aswell shall we ban drinking
aswell coz it causes more liver faliures and
creates more crime related hospital incidents
aswell just so we can make things even or set
up a protest against pubs for those that are
sensible and dont drink and drive but yet
still get ripped off with the price of soft
drinks u could go on and on about the
things smoking causes when in fact it does
not cause anything |

If you want it in plain language -
SMOKING CAUSES CANCER.
Without Googling (I don't have the time just
now) I can tell you it contains dozens (poss
hundreds) of known carcinogens.
I'd like to stay and argue the point but I
have to go and stand outside the pub! |
