mobile telecommunications....
or slightly belated, on the 9th of may mobile
phones celebrated their 100th birthday...
first patented in 1908 by nathan stubblefield
from kentucky, the place not the fast food
shop...
nathan kept the operation of his telephone a
closely guarded secret and it never really
took off, the whole contraption was about 3
feet tall with a large "wagon wheel" type
antenna... his idea was to put them on trains
and boats...
it wasn't for another 50 years or more before
anyone followed up on his original idea...

So is texting.
Well actually texting is in a pain in the ass
but the idea of people talking AND having the
ability to use the English language is a
distant memory...
So we therefore resort to "hi ws up wot u up
2 lyk?" |
