ok, i really like bollywood films and was
wondering if there was anywhere you could buy
them (not online) with english subtitles?
i used to watch them with a friend who would
explain what was going on roughly, the rest i
would figure out myself!
does anyone else like em???
recommendations would also be nice! |

theres something very refreshing about
bollywood
low budget films that entertain masses of
peeps. ive never seen on all the way thru
if u look at old english films, they were all
low budget and mass produced, so i believe
there is a good future for bollywood and its
fans
sorry not a clue where u could get them from,
but try an indian shop and ask |

lol, i started watching them years ago on
channel 4 when i was breastfeeding my
eldest!
it was the only thing that was on at that
time of the morning! and i seen a couple on
sky movies last week and now i've got the bug
again! |

even the names of some good films would be
helpful,
the only one i can remember the name of is
"Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" cos it has the
three biggest bollywood actors in it, Amitabh
Buchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan!
and the ones i were watching the other night
were "Fire" and "Earth"  |

i know, the hubby's sick of hearing it!
i'm also loving the song that signature had
playing during their act on B.G.T. it's by
Tigerstyle and called Nachna Onda Nei
it's ace, i do get weird looks on the bus lol |

Oooo I definitely recommend "Bride &
Prejudice", it's a Bollywood version of
"Pride & Prejudice -- it's in English and the
music kicks ass, much better than the boring
classic version |

I haven't seen too many Bollywood films,
they're not that common over here....but
they're full of awesomely cheesy dancing and
music, so what's not to love |

love story watch Devdaas most most expensive

The Bollywood industry does knock out a lot
of films (the majority I find boring) so I
don't watch them as much as some of my
friends do.
If Channel 4/Film 4 do an “Indian summer” the
films they screen are worth watching.
I can recommend the below for various
reasons. You can use IMDB to find out more
about them. I've watched DEVDAS (not the
recent remake) only recently and can strongly
recommend that...
You can buy Indian films at HMV see the world
cinema section and if you live in Birmingham
the central library have a while section of
Indian films you can borrow.

copy of a few films!

I know there has been a remake but I doubt it
would be as good as the black and white
version Ive mentioned.
I liked the film so much I also read the
original book translated from the Bengali:
Devdas: A Novel (A Penguin original)
You will be able to look it up on Amazon.
Try mentioning a few of the films I
recommended to your customers and see what
they say.
