iTunes and iPods...Apple.

What is your opinion of the iTunes programme?
Do you use it? Do you like the layout?

What do you think of iPods/iMacs etc. Do you
see them as useful and brilliant inventions
or do you think they are overused and too
available?

Most of all, what do you think of Apple as a
company? Do you think all of their equipment
is reliable? Do you think there are better
companies that sell better versions of their
models?

I myself have iTunes and generally like it,
apart from the numerous updates. I also have
an iPod Nano which is quite handy.

I would just be interested in opinions
because of the wide availibility of products
by Apple.

Never used iTunes.

Never had an iPlod

Got a sexy 4GB Sansa MP3 player.

I get my songs and music vids from err...
somewhere else.

How much do songs from iTunes cost?

To buy songs on iTunes it's 99c in Euros, so
about 70p or so.

However you can put songs from your CDs on
it, and if you are only whilst doing so it
automatically finds information about the
album (eg, track names so that you don't have
to type them in yourself). So you don't
neccessarily have to pay to have songs on
iTunes and iTunes itself is free to download.

I would advise against buying ipods or
nano's...

even though I haven't got one...

as like Chris20 own a MP3 player 4gb...

and just rip my music off myspace and other
social networks....

from what i do know....

is transferring tunes from computer to
ipod...

is simple enough , untill your hard dirve
goes or your PC breaks...

then because the ipod is configured to that
PC ONLY....

you are unable to access or transfer music
back to any other PC....

loosing all your music

of course they do offer some software to
correct the issue , which will cost you more
money....

something they don't tell you , untill it
happens

also , even though i think is fixed now...
but there batteries have issues...

ie: life expectancy

taking all this away ...they are pretty
good.... but wouldn't suit my purposes...as
outlined above

Theres an easy way to fix that without any
software.

Just open the iPod in removable disk mode in
Windows Explorer then go to the folder
settings and click view hidden folders then
OK then you can view all your music thats on
your iPod in WIndows Explorer instead of
having to use iTunes

Only problem with the above is that all the
filenames get codes (4 random letters...like
DFRG or w/e). But the songs keep the tags so
you can still tell what they are

unless anyone can tell me different and then
tell me how its done, if u remove tunes from
itunes, when u update yer ipod it deletes
anything not on itunes

so u take up space that u dont need on yer
hard drive or other drive

whats the point of that?
