Whilst both bi-sexuality and homosexuality it
is mostly psychological, scientific research
have also claimed that the possession of
certain genes can affect sexuality.
A recent study supports X-linkage from a
different perspective. Women have two X
chromosomes, one of which is "switched off".
The inactivation of the X chromosome occurs
randomly throughout the embryo, resulting in
cells that are mosaic with respect to which
chromosome is active. In some cases though,
it appears that this switching off can occur
in a non-random fashion. Bocklandt et al
reported that the number of women with
extreme skewing of X chromosome inactivation
is significantly higher in mothers of
homosexual men than in age-matched controls
without gay sons. 4% of controls showed
extreme skewing compared to 13% of the
mothers with gays sons and 23% of mothers
with two or more gay sons.
Also, male homosexuality appears likely to be
influenced by a complex genetic interaction
which may be mediated by H-Y antigens in the
mother’s immune system (see below). Whichever
genes are implicated they almost certainly
cause male brains to differentiate in a
female typical direction.
As for female homosexuality, there remains
little evidence from replicated genetic
linkage studies.
Also, homosexuality and bi-sexuality has been
observed in animals too, an example of this
is penguins, fish, bottle-nose dolphin and
even flies.

You have obviosuly the Straight genes
but to an extent that homo chromosone can
filter through depending how strong a same
sex attraction can be.
but your main compound would 99% the time
stay the straight gene |

Either way I think it is important to be
open-minded.
Bi-sexuality certainly is NOT a form of
greed, and I am not saying this merely
because of the fact I am bi-sexual but
because emotionally I am more aware of the
effects emotionally than someone who is not
bi-sexual, so I would just like to clear this
up. Bi-sexuality is not a matter of just
going off with anyone and it isn't all about
sex either.
Bi-sexuality is the ATTRACTION to both sexes
and the ability to fall in love with a member
of either sex. That is not greed. Also,
bi-sexuals don't usually have an equal
attraction towards men and women, normally
there is a preferred gender that we are more
likely to respond to, so we are either mostly
heterosexual or mostly homosexual.
Whether or not a bi-sexual is greedy depends
entirely on how they lead their lifestyle
with that orientation. If some people go
around using both sexes just for sex and take
advantage of their attraction to both
genders, then yes I understand it being
called greed, but bi-sexuality itself is NOT
greed unless a bi-sexual takes it upon
him/herself to make it greedy.
If I fall inlove with a woman I wouldn't mess
around with or see any men whilst being with
her. Bi-sexuality does not mean an inability
to stick by one person, and many people are
mistaken about that. |

I didn't write it all myself, alot of it yes
but the paragraph and the chromosomes is
information that I found on a couple of
sites. Although I had already heard about
chromosomes having an effect I wasn't aware
of the technical side to it so I looked it
up.
The information about the animals however, is
information I was already aware of myself and
the opinion that bi-sexuality is not greed is
mine and is an opinion I stand by. |

Oh no don't get me wrong Tigerwulf, I wasn't
lashing out at you just expressing my opinion
about the idea, because there are people who
think bi-sexuality is greed. I personally
wasn't offended but some people do get
offended or even just wonder what
bi-sexuality is actually like.
I can see you were joking now, but even if it
wasn't a joke it wouldn't have bothered me.

The media created the whole bi sexual thing
(lip stick lesbianism) primarily for the
benefit of men imo
Our society is oversexualised and some people
who are impressionable jump on the bisexual
is cool bandwagon
I think a lot of the 'Im bi curious' threads
started on here are due to people being bored
-like I said a few days ago maybe it would be
a good idea to take up a hobby in order to
stop focusing on sexual stuff all the time

I don't understand the whole idea of
bi-sexual is cool.
Alot of people claim to be bi-sexual for the
reason of it being "fashionable" but what a
load of crap. Such an attitude also gives a
bad name to those who are genuinely bi-sexual
and results in them not being taken
seriously. |
