Em a genuine piece o' Scotland,
In Dundee a was born n' bred.
Eating porrige in the mornin'
When a stumble oot ma bed.
Ma cousin came up fae Bristol,
What a tell ye is nae leh.(lie)
He's niver seen a Bridie,
Or tasted a Wallis's Peh. (pie)
My Ma made tatties, haggis n' neeps,
That really blew his brens.
What my auntie feeds him on,
I really dinna ken.
When I wiz tellin' him aboot Nessie,
He thought I wiz actin' the goat!
But I put him straight,
"That Monster I said,
Is bigger than any boat."
Now he'd niver heard o' "First Footin",
In a' his livin' years.
Well that really took the biscuit,
A' couldna' believe ma ears.
Thinkin' o' a' the things he didna ken,
A' lay awake last night in bed.
