my 13 year old is being bullied ,she is not
the slimmest girl at school i think she is
adverage size. i try to keep her in smart
clothes and the latest trends so she doesnt
get bullied ,i think she is beautiful and i
cant understand why people pick on her it is
mostly in pe but it is starting to affect her
she is comfort eating she sneaks food all the
time she thinks i dont know and i dont want
to mention it as it might embarasss her .i
have tryed telling teachers about this girl
but they wont help. i think teenage girls are
so [censored]y nowadays i am not letting her
do pe anymore see if that gets me any
attention. but the teachers will probably
just give my daughter a detention. i am stuck
if i dont send her to school i get a fine if
i do she gets tormented any ideas?

i think its awful being bullied having
experienced it myself when i was at
school.not enough was done then and it seams
its still a big problem. I
used to dread every day at school knowing
that something was going to happen. every day
totally ruined my life at the time,i couldnt
wait for the school hoildays because i knew i
would beb happy and safe.gotn to a stage at
high school when i started playing truant.
couldnt cope anymore.one of my friend
commited suicide because of bullying.IT HAS
TO STOP ZERO TOLERANCE
TO ALL YOU EVIL TWISTED BULLIES OUT THERE I
ONLY HOPE ONE DAY YOU WILL GET WHATS COMING
TO YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE JUST THE SCUM OF THIS
EARTH....
i think this is a good thread and people
please and your views this bullying has to
stop

My daughter gets bullied too... its
heartbreaking. The school pretends there's
nothing going on. I've just done everything i
can to try and improve my girls self
confidence, hoping that she will reaslise
that the bullies are talking crap.
I have been advised recently tho if i dont
get anywhere with the school then to inform
the education authority as it is now law to
investigate reports of bullying.
Good luck, who said parenting was easy?? x

My younger sister was being bullied from 1st
to 2nd year in school by 2 girls who she used
to be friends with so my mum has moved her to
a different school but it still carried on
through Bebo.c om. And if they seen each
other in the street but Corinne got really
fed up with it and when the girl asked
corinne for a fight corrine stupidly went
down on her own and lost. I told her not to
go down but I wasnt around when it was going
on so I couldn't have stopped it.
So i'm hoping that that is the end of it and
if its not then i'm going to risk it a hit
the wee girl myself because she has had this
for years now, she even stopped eating for a
week once coz the girs said she was fat which
shes not.
There nothing wrong with corinne at all, its
because she would be quiet and she would do
her work in school and wants to make
something of herself. She has all the latest
trends, shes not fat, shes goodlooking etc.
You probably think i'm biest coz she my
sister but i'm not lying.

Probably to much to read sorry lol

hey guys ive read some terrible experiences,
both from parents and from the recipients of
bullying.

I HATE bullying of any kind, and sadly it
doesnt stop once you leave school. bullies
are on the roads, at work, in pubs and clubs,
in neighbouring streets, etc.

i had a few bullying probs - nothing serious
- i think i must look like a soft target, but
i have an acid tongue and can hold me own.
unfortunately if it ever becomes physical, i
think i will be out for the count cos i cant
fight to save my life hopefully anyone
trying it will be put off by my perceived
aggression

but we must all fight bullying. dont pretend
its not happening if u see someone being
picked on, think how you can help out. the
biggest problem is that there is no support
mechanism - teachers dont seem to stop it,
employers dont either and worse than that the
public dont - so it goes on.

tambo u had the perfect solution, but
unfortunately that takes a lot of bottle
which a lot of us havent got

finally all of u that are being bulied or
have loved ones that are, i wish u all a very
swift and successful outcome

hi just read ur thread & everyones replies.
some really good advice given already. please
make an appointment to see ur daughters
tutor,year head and headmaster/mistress
(pref. together).it is the schools
responsibility to ensure your daughter feels
safe and secure in school, this is why all
schools must have an anti bullying policy(in
writing).explain exactley what is going on
and what they are going to do to stop
it.leave it 1 week to see if things improve,
if not then put your complaint in writing to
the head and cc: the school governers. if
nothing changes after that you then take it
to the cheif education officer at your local
council. it probably won't get to that stage
but if it does then tough. the fact that the
school is already in special measures should
make them be a bit more forward thinking,
they should be trying to hang onto their good
pupils and get rid of the nast little cowards
that are making your girls life rotten.wish
you both luck, let us know how you get on. x

Man i hate bullies...you should tell your
daughter...to follow em into the
toilets...well follow the "hardest" into the
toilet...and give her a crack....mite not go
down well with the teachers...but it should
bring an end to her bullying

And like they say...most bullies are actually
cowards...which is true..i was never bullied
at skool,,,but i know peeps who was...and
they used to dread coming in sometimes...just
because some morons get a kick out of
terrorising other people

Gets right on my remaining nerve....

Had similar problem with my daughter at same
age. the school did have anti bully policy
but this never stopped the bully involved.
So, I isolated the girl concerned and forcly
told her that her feet would'nt touch the
ground till I had dragged her to social
services where she may end up in front of a
childrens panel!
You could also try to get your girl involved
in weight training and shot putt and inform
the PE teacher that her lesson should be
focussed on that, she may excell and that
would intimidate the bullies, and PE teacher
would have to focus positively on your girl.

Stargirl76, it made me so sad to read your
post hun, my son went through a very serious
kind of 'bullying' while at school and I know
how completely draining it is on the parent
not least the child, and now unfortunately my
daughter is suffering at the hands of her
once bezzie mate! although she seems to be
holding her own for the moment. at the risk
of sounding like a geeky little swat! i was a
prefect at school and took notice of one
small boy who was bullied day in day out, in
the end I got hold of his tormentors and
after giving them a verbal ear bashing
dragged them off to the head of house, the
shouts from his room were very satisfactory,
I don't know if today the schools have
prefects or mentors but this may be an
option, make an appointment to have a quiet
word with your daughter's headteacher and
ask that her tutor be present at the time
along with your daughter after school, after
giving all of the deatails stress how this is
affecting her day to day life and make it
plain that you will no longer stand for it,
unless something is done to STOP it you will
have no other option for the sake of your
childs well being, but to take it to a higher
authority. try to stay calm throught this I
know it will be difficult but if you loose
your controll of the situation you have
already lost the argument, I would also
advise that you ask for a member of staff to
be appointed, so that your daughter knows
there is someone who she can confide in, this
keeps the school involved. I sincerely hope
everything turns out well for you both. it's
plain that you and your daughter are decent
people and what was said in another post
about the ring leader being a mouth piece is
true, once her 'friends' find that out she'll
be left on her own and may then find out what
bullying is all about. tell your girl to read
this thread if she is feeling insecure we are
all thinking of her and were all right behind
her. good luck xx

some really good advice been given above...
my son was bullied and came home bruised when
i told the teacher at parents evening she
said she would sort it out....3 days later he
was head butted in the playground as the
teacher had failed to act on my
concerns.....as you can imagine i blew my lid
and went into school and pulled both my sons
out and threatend to take them to court for
neglect....i kept them off and wrote a strong
worded factual letter to the board of
education and within a week my boys were
placed in a school of my choice.
If your daughter incurrs any violence of any
kind then you are within your rights to seek
police assistence, the school will have no
choice but to deal with the problem then
goodluck......tinz
