hey ppl, i'm writing this forum about a gd
mate of mine from chat,he's called
chat_master. Chats partner of 18 yrs died 3
weeks ago suddenly, the day after he cremated
her the housing gave him 10 days 2 vacate the
premises cos the had no recollection of him
bein there, now wether they did r not chat
was willing to take the house over and pay
his way but they wont let him, we have been 2
his local mayor and other councellors but
with no help, please let me know wot u think
about this situation and if u now any other
ways we can go about gettin him 2 b allowed 2
keep the house, ty all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |

i think personaly the papers should be
involved in this now and see who u can get
help from like citizens advice any way means
possible any help you need let me no :

was on the rent book

Chats situation is an absolute disgrace but
typical of local authorities an mps arent
much use in these matters. Unfortunately i
think his only option is to fight it in court
an h wud most likely win as u have a rite to
stay in the family home a several cases ave
gone to court like this with the occupier
bein successful. i feel for chat xxx |

Thats such a shame..i know ere in leeds if uv
been livin there a full year an can prove it
you can stay, get your name on the rent book
or qualify fer another house/flat dependin on
yer circumstances. |

This guy dosent need what is happening to
him. Life is painful enough at this time. Get
the guy a break. Pen pushers look to the
person not the paper work. He needs a secure
home where he spent happy times with his
partner. |

well leigh, chat knows i have sent the emails
and i tried my best for him i just think that
is a total disgrace that he will hav no where
2 live n my heart goes out ta him just hope n
pray that chat gets sorted and starts 2

yeh if council tenant, only adults named on
rent book & contract are entitled to live at
the house etc if the named person dies.
Usually main person has to add them as
entitled to live / maintain the tenancy. I
dunno what u can do really. |

USe the media! Get him to tell his story to
the local newspaper, tv and radio stations.
Also, call his member of Parliament and other
local representatives of greater power than
just the mayor. Tell him to blow his own
horn, loud! 'cause no one else will and
public pressure does wonders to win a case!

he should take up squatters rights then they
cant throw him out.has he got any bills for
that address with his name on them they would
help
