Well Jolly, i had very thick, very long hair
when i was little, so you can imagine how
painful it was for me too!
But i'd rather have that than the nits!! lol |

Yep, i think that they are all gone - nit
nurse, dentist and the opticians - and i
think that the teenagers even have to have
their BCG at the doctors now too in a lot of
schools |

i was horrified that my daughter caught them
at nursery. twice. i had never ever seen them
nor did i know of anyone who'd had them prior
to these times.
the nit nurse will never come back, because
it's all so politically correct nowadays and
people sue each other all over the place-
they say it's invasion of privacy or a
violation of human rights, something
absolutely daft like that
bring her back, i say |

dont get nit nurses over here,but most
parents would keep the child of school until
they have gone and let other parents now to
check ther hair... my daughter use to get
them all the time but i dyed her hair last
year and she has int had any since. |

If the kids get nits over here (germany) they
have to stay off school and get a doctors
note to say they are nit free before they can
go back to school... |

Luckily my youngest hasnt had nits for a
couple of years
I expect the nit nurse was done away with
because the NHS needs to save money |

or you could just do the easy thing and go to
any local lush shop and buy a shampoo bar
called soak and float, it doest "get rid" of
them but stop thems from going in hair cos it
has cade oil in it, (it smells like coal
tar! )
my two have been using it for years and we
havent had any probs!
i have really long hair and am super paranoid
about getting them from kids lol, it also
lasts ages (the shampoo bar) so you get your
moneys worth, hope this helps! |

ur mp wants to take a nit nurse and present
her to the house of commons? wot a
preposterous idea and a waste of taxpayers
money. everybody knows that all male mps are
bald and the female ones wear wigs. so wot

It couldn't be that bad that you need a nurse
for it.
Just check your own kids hair once a week and
if you find anything then get it sorted and
make the school aware that they are going
about. |

Nit combs..ffs dunt anyone use nit combs?? I
always dun my kasie every night when she was
little an i can honestly say she ad em about
twice thats it. Yet the school were forever
sendin letters home complainin of a nit
epidemic. Maybe if the parents bothered
checkin their kids heads properly instead of
a quick scout through then there wunt be a
prob. |

that'd be good here.
i think if we all sued education authorities
for a fixed fee each time our kids caught
them they would have to do something with the
culprit families whose kids are the carriers. |

my daughter had them for two years i tryed
everything but they came back her mate was
the carrier so every time she went near her
she got them back i was desperate so i looked
on the net for a cure i found a site that
said vaseline worked so i plastered her hair
in it . it worked they went BUT her hair went
greasy and she got bullied for it so i cured
one problem and created another . |
