I have a copy of Vista (Ultimate) which I
obtained to learn more about it.
Should I install it on the laptop over XP or
just let it stay in the box? My PC works at
the moment you see...  |

Ha ha! You've definately got some kind of
problem. It could be a virus but it sounds
more like something else. I'll not go into
details coz it's really boring but it's bad.
Backup what you need to keep and get a fresh
copy of Windows on there, after formatting
the drive. That's the only way to get rid of
it. With some viruses not even that works but
it doesn't sound like you have one of those.
I'd lend you a disc but you're a bit far away
