However in the eastern part of the world, where people who study the mind, body, and the after life for thousands of years, to them it is not paranormal and is quite common place in every day life. It is their science, and they know how to leave their own physical body and explore the after life. So... Someone in the east does not need an airplane to come over and what we little 'biddies' are doing in the west!

In the same way, what looks like magic on a stage with acts performed by magicians; to the magician, his acts is not magical at all, because he understands science behind his trick. Present day technology can detect entities beyond our physical world, as long as you design the device to do that. Ghosts vibrate at a very high frequency, so if you know their frequency, then you would know how to build your communication device. I do not know his name nor how he looks like or where he is from (because people like to cover up stuff), a man once invented such a device to pick up the conversations of people beyond our world. But because people did not believe in him and his work, he lost his confidence and heart; and destroyed his invention before he could make any improvements to it. And that was it.

And there are other meanings not listed in this reply. So if a magician understands the science behind his trick, then it means he understands the workings of his trick. And to him, his trick is not magical at all. And for those who do not, to them, its MAGICAL! Your response is quite predictable, most or almost no one will comprehend the science of the after life, because western life is mostly based on material things. The real masters are the ones who have been studying these things for thousands of years.

But so long as science refer to the natural world, then we would not get very far in the science of "after life". Scientists are looking for the physical proof that occur in the natural world to identify the presence of an after life, but truly the real proof, the real evidence, is situated on the other side. And to experience it, to witness the evidence of the after life, you're gonna have to go there your self. ***If someone is born blind, how can you prove to them there is such thing as the color blue, how can you prove to that person blue exist. He/She would not understand and would not know what to make of the color blue. Besides, the person would not understand what the word "Color" means, because he/she has never seen color. Soo how can you provide proof of "sight" to some one who is born blind. In the same way, science beyond the natural world people cannot comprehend. Man made instruments cannot tap in to the other side yet. You truly have to give them eyes to see the after life. And one way of people getting a glimpse of proof of the after life is NDE (Near Death Experience).

We just haven't figured out yet how he works. All we can say now is 'In Mysterious Ways". Ha ha ha Well look at what they did to the poor little guy. People didn't believed in his work so he lost heart and smashed his instrument. So... we have the technology to build such a device, but no one since many years ago has taken up his work to build another "communication device". So at present day, no one "YET" has continued investigation in the communication of entities using an electronic device.

As neutrinos are massless subatomic particles known to science, but virtually impossible to detect unless physicists uses a large deep underground water tank to detect rogue neutrinos passing through the earths crust. So perhaps ghosts can pass through solid matter as their composed of these massless particles currently undetectable with our presently limited technology...

TO: LuckyLips1 Many people use different words to emphasise the same the thing, and then there are those who would use different words to refer to spicific things; and these are the people who are more educated on the matter. Ghosts: Are not actually the person who once occupied the body. Ghosts are the glowing ectoplasmic substance or magnetic field or also called the "etheric" or like my friend blithespirit mentions here - "Neutrinos; that is left over by a dead body. You can find them at a newly buried body at a grave site or at a house where the person once lived. This magnetic field usually wanders to places where the original occupant of body goes or resides. You can train yourself to see this glow around your own living body in the dark. It has a bluish glow and has the same contour level around the surface of your skin. The glow extends at different levels above the skin in differenrt people. The bigger the glow above your skin, the healthier you are. The Spirit, Astal Body: The person that onced lived in this body has gone on to a higher plane of existance (Spiritl World). This place vibrates on a higher frequency and cannot be seen, just as higher frequency light waves cannot be seen by the human eye. When a person dies, it takes three to four days for the 'Silver Chord" (the chord that connects the Physical body to the Astral body - also mentioned in the Bible) to Fade out, Cut off, disconnect from the dead body. This chord glows in a bluish silverish light and can stretch at any distance. Once the Chord is severd, the Astral Body can move on to another world that exists in a higher plane. Keiko after you smugly tried mocking your academic superior Sheldrake as a "pseudo-scientist", I found an apt paranormal riposte from his book A New Science Of Life(which you should try reading to get a balanced viewpoint): "although psychic investigators have discovered many cases of fraud, there remains a large body of evidence which defies explanation of known physical principles. Moreover, numerous experiments designed to test for so called ESP or PK abilities have yielded positive results with odds against chance coincidence of sev million to one. As these phenomena can't be explained by known laws of physics or chemistry they shouldn't then occur. But as they evidently do there are 2 types of theoretical approach. The 1st assumes they depend on laws of physics yet unknown, the 2nd supposes they rely on non physical causes or principles. Most hypotheses have so far been cast within an interactionist framework. Several recent ones are based on quantum theory involving branching universes & postulate that mental states play a role in determining probablisitic physical change, ie: observer effect". In other words Sheldrake is far more qualified than you Keiko in assessing paranormal phenomena. I concede its easy to humour poor truthnumberone & his cheesy paranormal evangelism (but you gotta admire him for trying...). However, Sheldrake's eloquent logic is on an academic level even you can't smugly dispute. Regarding his theories been submitted for peer review it seems he's already succeeded. As in order to qualify to submit articles to New Scientist one must have one's theories accepted by one's peers anyway, QED. I concede that the wider scientific community hasn't accepted his "morphic resonance" theory yet. But thats just because he's broken their arbitrary rules by combining the disciplines of biology & physics. Confirming the suspicion that any new theory which radically challenges scientific authority is declared anathema on biased principle. Frankly Keiko, for a self confessed "scientist" you seem awfully naive yourself to be ignorant of this churlish scientific censorship. Unless you're just studying Sports Science of course...

I do not know about Sheldrake's theories. Never heard of them. Tell me some and I'll let you if its right or wrong. Scientists are guessers, and they only know something is true when they've seen it or experienced it. So tell me a litte of Sheldrake's theories and I'll tell you what I know or don't know, and what is right and what is wrong about the theories. why I cn say that, its because I know some of the methods used by the masters to leave their body. In fact he's already tried sev times to submit his studies for peer review, which have since been comprehensively declined by his biased scientist peers for reasons of scientific censorship (as I patiently explained earlier) Furthermore, he's not the only victim of this censorship either: I corresponded with archetypal "mad scientist" engineer Ron Pearson after reading his discoveries in Psychic News back in the mid 90's, concerning his long winded Theory Of Quantum Gravitation & The Structured Ether. Which uses Newtonian equations to mathematically prove there's an afterlife (full details on http/[censored]skeptics.victorzammit[censored ]). He also tried submitting his theory for peer review. But was either ignored or ridiculed by both scientists & the tabloid press. However, his theory must have scientific credibility as it was published by the esteemed Russian Academy Of Sciences, & is now part of their physics curriculum. Proving that eastern europe has always been more respectful towards paranormal evidence than the materially corrupt west. However, I personally beleive, according to the anecdotal evidence that the "tunnel of light" reported in most NDE's is actually a subatomic quantum wormhole from which the mind (in the form of pure energy) escapes mortality by travelling to its ideal plane of existence within the multiverse (which is coincidentally supported by quantum physics equations). Btw, Foxy I think your wry suggestion that this thread needs A.C. Clarke was bang on. As he narrated his famous Mysterious World tv series back in the 80's. So as a scientist, he'd be perfectly apt to champion the sceptics on here!

How do you just know where it is ? How did you know it was there? Do you have a way of seeing threw walls or looking into (it)? Do you have a device that tells you it is there, what ever it is? As a contract framer years ago I walked threw walls eveyday. Walked threw those walls while constructing the frame work day in and out. There is really nothing to it! I would imagine a ghost would tell you the same thing! The fact is, there really is nothing to (it) ! It is helpful to memorize the blueprints with reguards to what is not as of yet , there.

I don't think there is any reputable scinetist inventigating the matter; however there is still something there cause people witness it. And for those who are clairvoyant can see this without the use of instruments. On person mentioned there are so many dead people in the world, then it means the world is over crouded with ghosts. Well the answer is no. I said a little earlier that when you die the actual spirit or soul or astral body moves on to another plane of exixtance, they don't stay on Earth. And people who are trained can leave their body, go there and come back. Your astral body remains connected to the physical via the "Silver Chord" (Mentioned in the Bible but not clearly described). The ghostly image you see rising out of a newly dug grave is the "Etheric," which was generated from the body that was once living. Yes it does take the shape of a human body because it was moulded that was in its life in the body. I will take another few hundred years for this etheric to dissipate - go out of exixtance. It is not the actual person that once lived.

Apparently he went into a self induced trance & was instructed to "fly" to a specific target location in another room or building & describe or draw the objects he found there. With the results being just conclusive enough to provide tantalising scientific proof that OOBE's were potentially real after all...he also claimed to have used his remote viewing talents to psychically spy for the CIA. Which they smugly have neither confirmed nor denied. The OOB plot thickens nicely...

I see, experience and understand what others cannot. For expample: For most of us who have good eyes; you can see your world around you and can make a good description of it. But to someone who is born blind, who never experienced sight, can you describe the world to him or her. He or she would not be able to comprehend what you're talking about. And to them the real world is a world without sight no matter how much we try to explain it to them. How can you present "proof of sight" to them? So...Here is another TRUTH that cannot be proven in this current day and age of the world. It goes... "When you die, you go to another plane of exixtance, and in this plane -this world- is in the 4th dimention." Now... we have Length, Breath, and Hight, 3 dimentions. But, can you imagine a 4th dimention! How can a 4th dimentional person explain his world to a person who only has organs to help him percieve in 3 dimentions? How can one persent "Proof of the Forth Dimention" to a person who only sees in Three? Take care people and have a good day.

And if he'd described certain conditions, I would make an explanation on the matter. Because not everything is ghost related. Yes, globe lightning is real and some people like to think they are ghosts. Some of these effects come from electrical high tension wires; and to reduce or remove the phenomena, engineers placed balls along those high electrical wires. Is there anyone out there with a true Ghost story to tell us? Does anyone have any questions on the things I have discussed?
