Gloves for Winter

So cold in the mornings now, ending up with
really sore fingers as a result so need to
get a pair of good thermal gloves to wear
under the leather gloves I've got before it
gets really baltic.

Anyone know if Stormlite gloves are any
good?

Found a pair for £9.99 on the Fieldandtrek
website.

Also...

Are heated grips any good or just a gimmick
and are they easy to fit?

Yes to the are Stormlite gloves any good
question?

Forget the heated grips question, they
wouldn't work I don't think. Would only heat
the underside of my fingers.

There's handlebar muffs for sale, look kinda
naff.

If it means warm fingers though I wouldn't
have a problem with sticking my hands in a
muff to keep 'em from hypothermia.

-3°C

Urgh!!

Really sore fingers.

Any longer than 35 minutes on the scooter in
those temperatures and my fingers would have
fallen off.

No gloves work, that's my conclusion.

I had 3 pairs of gloves on today. Two of
those claimed to be "thermal" and the other
was supposed to be "windproof". Pfft

I want my £35 back :-|

**me thinks the scooter will be stored in the
garage over Winter** :o(

Too friggin' cold

chris, when it gets really cold,
the best gloves te use are spacey leather
mittens. an' move yer fingers constantly
while outside, keep the blood running.

ye'll be as warm as toast in no time at all

I've got a car but I aint got my license, boo
hoo!! Will be March at least before I get
it.

If it's zero or below I'll just get a lift
into work from now on. Bit risky with the ice
on the roads anywho.

Can't wait to get my driving license. Oh to
have a heater, 4 wheels and a nice safe metal
shell around me.

Ty, I'll have a look for those tonight.

There must be gloves out there that can keep
my hands warm.

Folk climb Mount Everest and that can be well
below -20°C at times?

I want the gloves they use.

Even if it means spending £50 - £150.

Doubt my motorcycling days will end when I
get the driving license next year so it'll be
a long term investment. :o)

Never thought it'd be so much hassle finding
a good pair of gloves.

Oxford Products Hothands - £26

"Easily operated with a rainproof switch with
LED light

Uses less than 3 amps of power so can be
safely used on all 12V bikes"

Worth a try

I don't think heated grips make any
difference there only good if you can put a
mitten cover thing on each side of handlebars
and use no gloves.I have a pair of gloves
with hard plastic on the knuckles and back of
hand there very good as long as it doesn't
rain very heavily and there warm but you'd
look silly wearing them on a scooter as there
for motorbikes.Pour-ex are good leather
gloves and slip a pair of fingerless leather
gloves on under and you feel the comfort no
more frostbite.

Oh God, the Oxford Handlebar Muffs arrived
today and they are massive!!!

A lot bigger than they look in the totally
misleading piccy. At least 4 times bigger
than I'd have wanted.

If I fitted them to the scooter the damn
thing would take off.

I'll just sell them on Ebay.

The heated grips have been installed and
they're pretty good.

Real nice to feel some heat when I'm out
riding.

Cream Cake , the Oxford Hothands worked
well today.

Still end up with cold hands when it's -2°C
but they weren't painful like last time so
that's a success.

Ty for the help.
