Well 7.00am Friday morning i awoke with pains
like I'd never experienced before .....(the
contractions with Wayne were painless)...i
rang the hospital to ask the midwives if this
was normal and loverly Jenny (midwife)
explained they WERE contractions and nothing
to worry about they were perfectly normal
....she then inquired as to how far apart
they were to which i went "huh" and she said
mustn't be serious or i would know.....i got
off the phone to her and rang my friend
Bronwen who lives in Queensland as she is the
only person i know who has had 4 normal
labours and asked her more about it and she
reassured me that everything was fine
....then asked how far apart they were ...."I
don't know" i replied
"i cant really concentrate at the
moment"....
Then another phone call came through from my
best friend Tam .....hung up from Bron with
her telling me she'd ring me later... got on
the phone to Tam and asked her if she would
time my contractions. So, bleary eyed Tam
squinted at her wall clock and said
"im not doing seconds"....
"thats ok i just want a round about" i
laughed.........
4 minutes apart....oooo...
"Tracie get off the phone, wake Rick and get
Wayne round here i think you should be going
to the hospital".....
"Really??" .....i replied
"YES!!!" ......
another call comes through...Bron
again....."so how far apart?"....
"4 minutes".....
"get off the phone go wake Rick and get to
the hospital".....
"why?"
"because when mine were 4 minutes apart i had
a child an hour later"
"Ok hon will call you later"
I was finally off the phone and walked into
the bedroom .....
"Rick honey don't panic ........i'm in
labour....we need to get Wayne dressed and
round to Tams .......do you want a coffee?"
"Huh...oh!....I'll make the coffee"
"No you just start getting ready"
Grabs phone ....."mum i've gone into labour
we are taking Wayne to Tami's and will meet
you at the hospital"
Starts wandering round making the coffee and
getting Wayne's clothes ready..... Phone
rings...Nuch
"Hi hon, just thought i'd give you a ring and
see how your going ?"
"I'm in labour hon, 4 minutes apart "
"oh, i'd better let you go then"
"nah, you can talk to me for a bit"
(small chit chat)
"will txt you when i've had it"
Rick's dropped Wayne off at Tami's and I've
managed to get dressed and i made him wait
for me to have a ciggy before calling a taxi
Taxi comes and it's off to the hospital we
go
Made it to the hospital and the contractions
were 2min apart but i'm only 2cm dilated
.....the nurse asked if i'd be more
comfortable at home to which i replied ...
"no its fine here"
Got taken to my room................
I'm gonna leave it here for now too tired to
write any more...
update tomorrow ...lol |

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww well done
babiesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
i have 3 girls  1st was 8lb 8 15 hours of
pain 2nd 9lb 2 12 hours of pain 3rd 8lb
and in out of pain for a week! 24 hours of
labour later and a amblunce drive as was ment
2 be a n home birth out she popped lol i did
tell midwife but she didnt listen! got 2
hospial 10.30am had her at 10.51am so they
had the messy bit! |
