Hi,
Although there are more cars on the roads
today, the congestion has been caused by the
narrowing of roads by the Councils/Government
to try to force motorists off the roads and
onto public transport using bus lanes, cycle
lanes, bollards, chevrons, bus stops next to
bollards, speed humps, the closure of
numerous roads and chicanes - which hasn't
worked. Now they want the motorist to pay for
improvements for privatised public transport
and don't kid yourselves, the proposed
charges and times payable will only increase
- don't let them get away with it.
When I refer to roads I mean the patchwork
quilted tarmac that the cars are supposed to
damage their suspension on.

congestion charge in Greater Manchester
