football forum! i hate it being called soccer
as well! why have two seperate Sub-forums for

On the game we wont get beat 7-0! We will
defend and fight for every ball as is the
scottish way, we know we can't match the
Italians skill levels, but when it coems to
fighting and defending hard we are experts.
Both Pirlo and Totti are out which is a biig
bonus and with Buffon a doubt due to a
stomach bug that could be another big boost!
But the Italians ooze class, if go there and
give it our all but get beat i can't
complain.
Well we got beat, but we gave it our all for
90 minutes and thats all we can ask for!
both goals came from poor defending, noboby
picking up Toni in the 6 yard box! First
came from a freekick in which Toni dived and
second was good lay by Italy. Two amazing
saves from Craig Gordon in the second half
get us in the game.
Scotland played well but never troubled
Buffon and i feel we still wouldn't have
scored yet if we were still playing.
Not an excuse as i felt Italy were the better
team but the ref gave them absolutely
everything! if McManus sneazed on Toni they
got a freekick whereas Miller was being
pushed, pulled and kicked and got nothing all
night. We miss Fletcher and Faddy.
we lost the match but the team won the hearts
of the nation, the boys done us proud. the
ref was a bit of a nob, but u cant cry
about that. mcfadden should have made it 2 -
1 scotland but when he missed the target it
just wasnt gonna happen. but at the end of
the day we played em off the park. no many
teams can say that about the world champs
