About me:
I'm Canadian born and bred and live in the city of Montreal, in the Province of Quebec -which is located on the eastern side of Canada. My ancestry [family name] is from the Netherlands (Holland) and I'm the eldest of 4 children (2 brothers and a sister). I've been married to my wife since 1979.
In 1994, I obtained my college diploma in Tourism Management from Champlain College in St Lambert, Quebec, Canada and have been employed in the hospitality service field since 1980.
I was a former officer with the Canadian Naval Reserve, where I achieved the rank of a Naval Lieutenant. Since 1998 I've been serving with the Royal Canadian Legion (a veteran/military association and social & community service organization). I currently hold office within the Legion as the Vice Commander of District 7(Quebec) Command, as well as being the 1st Vice President of my local Legion Branch.
For exercise, I'm a cyclist and I usually get a good work-out ride for at least 2 hours every evening in the summer months (averaging about 90 miles [144.83 Km] or more each week). |
Appearance:
I'm 5 foot, 6 inches tall with an average build, light coloured short hair, a neatly trimmed beard, blue eyes and I weigh in at around 155 pounds (70.308 Kg).
My style of dress ranges from neat casual to suit and tie, depending on the occasion -jeans and T-shirts are worn on occasion, but aren't really my preffered dress. When at work, and when performing my Legion duties, I'm in a uniform. |
