Looks are not the most important thing,
however like I have said before the way one
presents themselves (image) is more important
than physical beauty. This does include
clothing (I myself like it when someone
stands out), but the most important thing is
how you present yourself as a person and how
you treat people. That is the main part of
initial attraction - your general behaviour
towards others. Your behaviour is important
for both initial attraction and for
friendships/relationships. Your behaviour
determines whether or not people will want to
know more about you. That doesn't mean
changing who you are. For example, I prefer
someone who is not good-looking or
well-dressed but is respectful and humourous
rather than someone who looks good but acts
like a nasty idiot.
