| JAVA issues |
It has come to the attention of UKChatterbox that some chatters who are using the latest version of MicroSoft JAVA (MS Virtual machine) are experiencing assorted screen problems. These include (but may not be limited to):
Icons not there or cannot be used.
Room list not visible.
Error msg when trying to join a room.
Parts of the screen appear in solid black or white where text/graphics should be.
Our main recommendation is that unless you are already experiencing problems of this nature that you do not upgrade your existing version of JAVA at all.
If you are experiencing problems please consider changing from MicroSoft to SUN JAVA. Current feedback indicates that no problems are being experienced by service users who have moved over to SUN JAVA version 5.0 Update 11. It is however an entirely personal choice whether or not to change to SUN JAVA and although we are not aware of any problems UKChatterbox cannot accept responsibility for any which may occur. SUN JAVA is known to be a reliable platform.
